How does one encode mp3 with Suse 10?

I presently use the ogg encoding for my music cd's. It's great, but I would like the option to encode with mp3. Suse, apparently for legal reasons, does not include mp3 encoders with its software. So, the question is, where can I get the tools to do mp3 encoding with my Suse 10 install? I've dug around a little bit, but there is nothing obvious.

Thank you for finding the correct file location. It's installed and works fine. I have an additional question that maybe you can help with: Where can I get a blade encoder? I've read that the blade encoder does a better job with certain music types (i.e., classical) and I'm interested in doing that experiment myself.

I used LAME many years ago with Windows, and I thought it was great. I'm not much of an audiophile so I can't really pass judgement on the quality.

I believe you can use the KAudioCreator or Grip or something to rip CDs and to provide a frontend to the LAME encoder.
