dvd viewing problem

hello,
not my day today...i have downloaded the files that enable me to view dvd`s on my linux 10 eval set up, the one to do with xine including the win 32 codecs.
However i get the following error message a few seconds(although the time does vary into minutes ?) :-
source cant be read
maybe you dont have enough rights fot this, or source doesnt contain data
(eg no disc indrive)(/dev/hdc)

and then sometimes the following
no plugin found to handle this resourse dvd

any idea`s please.

You need DVDdeCSS and probably MPlayer (at least, only MPlayer plays all DVDs for me).

Actually, it sounds like you have what you need. You just don't have permissions on the drive as group, only as root. You need to upgrade your group permissions.
