dual Head ( s-video) setup

Hello everyone.
I a little new to openSuSE and Linux to.
After droping Windows, i decided to use openSuse since i used it before.
Now i have a newbie question here. openSuSE 11.1 work very nice on my laptop, the video card ( ATI Xpress 1100 ) is vorking ( no proprietary drivers ).
The main question is: is there any change i can get dual head over s-vide to work without installing the proprietary drivers ( it's a nightmare to do that )
If anyone can help me please !
Thank you
