Dual Boot on Dell Server

Hi There,

I've currently been working with SUSE 9.1 on a Dell Server and this has been working Ok.
I decided to install Windows XP onto another SCSI drive to use the machine as a platform to assist anyone who has a problem with a particular OS rather than mess about with the family PC.
What I need to know is will it be possible to set the machine to dual boot OS?
I've gone into Yast and Boot Loader and adjusted the settings but when SUSE starts, the option to load Windows is shown but it halts when XP starts to load.
Doe's anyone hold any info please thanks...

To load windows from a drive that is not the first on the controller, one need to apply a little trick. Check out this page:

Hi There,

Thanks for the info, I managed to rectify the problem by re-installing linux on the second SCSI hard drive.
What happened was I already had SUSE installed but decided to install Windows XP OS, only to assist if there was a problem I wanted to solve.
I removed the SUSE drive, and installed windows but DOH! when I installed the SUSE drive of course it couldn't dual boot as it wasn't setup to.
Anyway once I left the Windows drive in then installed SUSE again it chose to put the boot loader in the windows partition and install the OS on the second.
Clever OS is SUSE (Linux) as windows is very fussy...

:)
Soon you'll find out that system-reinstallation also belongs to the Windows world.
