driver for modem hsp56 mr (SuSE 9.3)

I installed the SuSE driver for Lucent modem and Smartlink modem but occour an error with smpppd when I try conect it. I removed this driver and install a driver for linmodem HSP56 and I used another driver for Smartlink modem.
I compiled the driver and install it, but an error occour when I try load the module in the kernel.
Can someone help me?

Is this an integrated modem? If so, what's your motherboard?
You'll have to use the ALSA driver and recompile slmodemd to use ALSA mode.

modems and drivers: identify chipset first will tell you that you first must identify the chipset used in your modem before trying drivers at
There is a tool there, scanModem, which will do the work for
