Yello! I'm wondering how to use this great tool in Win32 - I've got wget 1.10alpha2 and I try to force this sample initialization file (sample.wgetrc) to work...but PAH! it's still refusing and I'm losing all ideas. I think that maybe I'll manage to when I install gentoo at last, but I need a lot of free time to do so. So I would be glad if someone knows how to use this config file, or how use custom http or other proxy without initialization file and was so kind to share his knowledge^^. I've unhashed and set proxies of course, and I found out that wget is searching for err...'variable enviroment' (I don't know what this precisely mean _-_...it's probably from linux) in /usr/local/etc/wgetrc or later in $HOME/.wgetrc to load. But the problem is how to run this thing'ie on WinXP? I've tried with setting variable by old command 'set wgetrc=[path to sample.wgetrc]' but that was silly idea. Anybody knows how to help?

edit: Seems like nobody is able to give me a bit of advice. No wget users or nobody knows how it works in WinXP? Probably tomorrow I start installation of gentoo so maybe I'll figure out how it works by myself. But if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Okey, I've found it out by myself - Environmental Variables are to set in Control Panel -> System. I set $WGETRC=%".WGETRC"LOCATION% and it's working. Anyone who knows where is variables configuration located in linux? I mean a file, because I think that to set it you just have to use "SET ..." or something like it.

Thanks, John_Emad, I'll try it, although I get used to wget. And it never failed me in downloading. One disadvantage though - it's difficult to download with wget - it doesn't catch automatically some links. Hmm... There won't be any problem in using D4X in gentoo, I suppose?
