does not have premission to access floppy
After installing suse 9.2 I notice I have no icons on my desktop for the floppy nor the dvd drive.
When I open Firefox and try to import my favorites from a floppy I get a message telling me that "You don't have the necessary premissions to view this file"
BAWwwwwwwwwwwwww, It's my file...
I think this is nice easy fix doing that command thing... chmod something???
what I get when I typed mount /mnt/floppy
linux:/home/doug # mount /mnt/floppy
mount: can't find /mnt/floppy in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab
linux:/home/doug #
Any idea on what I should do now. Oh by the way I'm getting this from a Redhat 9 bible I have hanging around here.
I figured it should have some good info in it.
thanks for you continued support in my formulative years as a "Newbie Linuxer"

Yes they are and get this. I went into my computer and made a link out on my desktop to the DVD and floppy and changed the icons to the DVD and floppy. I can access them now.

Hey, Success!!! Since I could access other floppies and not this one that had my bookmarks. I went to my wifes computer and saved my bookmarks into her firefox browser.
Then I opened a dos prompt and format A:
Then when finished I exported my favs back to the floppy and took it to my computer where I then imported them to my browser.
Worked great.
NOW,,, Should I go back into my computer as root and go to the user accounts and take the check mark out of Floppy and CD ROM in the groups under my log in?
