Do you need all 5 cds with 10.0?

I know with slackware the first two where the cds you needed to install and the last two where documentation. Is this the same with SUSE?

It all depends on what packages you choose to install. If you choose all the packages to install it will use all 5 cd's (and get ready to sit back and wait) it takes a while, but its worth it if you have the HD space. The default install only requires the first two disc I believe.

For default installation, without any additional software. is needed the first two or only the first one CD ?
Is it not possible download only the first CD and later get other packages from the server ?

You can do ftp install. find boot.iso or download first cd and choose ftp install. you can download only the packages you need.
