dns zone transfer in suse

hello, is there anyone can help me on my dns setup. the problem is in the zone transfer from master to slave that if i put "allow-transfer" option in my named.conf the zone transfer is refused and on the other hand if i remove the "allow-transfer" option, there is a zone transfer. i don't want to have a zone transfer possible to any host. i am only experiencing this in suse while on the other distro, there is no problem.

Well, I have no problem doing that in SuSE 10.0. Perhaps if you posted your config someone might see something you've missed.
