Disabling Apparmor scripts from startup

I have AVG installed on my openSuSE 10.2 desktop, in which I need to disable apparmor from running due to the avg daemon that needs to run in lieu of this at startup. I have disabled apparmor from within YaST, however certain apparmor scripts continue to attempt to execute during startup. I have tried to remove executable permissions from these scripts, yet they still attempt to run. How do I completely disable apparmor from trying to run at startup?

Instead of uninstalling it and risk hosing your system, I just went into YaST and disabled the AppArmor in the AppArmor control panel. Just uncheck the box.

I have already disabled Apparmor within the Apparmor control panel, yet these scripts still attempt to run at startup. As you mentioned, I do not wish to risk messing up my system by uninstalling just disabling the scripts. Any other ideas?

if you don't use the scripts why not uninstall the whole thing? do you also keep other programs on your system you don't use? strange thinking, sounds a little paranoid*g, but ok. I did uninstall, no messing up, just two clicks, works....

You're certainly entitled to your own opinion. However, instead of just uninstalling, I would like to know how to disable these scripts from startup, considering that Apparmor is disabled. This way, I could potentially learn about how other scripts are called at startup, and find out the reason why these scripts are being called, even when the application is disabled. I may intend on using Apparmor in the future and, since it was an integral part of the original openSuSE 10.2 installation, I would like to keep it that way.

The un-installation may have worked for you, but mileage varies, and I do not wish to break anything (as opposed to what I normally do anyway) on my system.

Still looking for information on disabling these scripts. Perhaps these scripts are called from another script which is run at startup?
