Disable NFS clilent

I use to have a NFS server on my network, but have removed it recently. My Suse 9.2 client is configured to import a NFS share at start up. Problem is, my client hangs forever at boot time when trying to import the NFS share. Is there a way that I can disable the NFS client so that I can log in to the machine?

Once you're in, you can go to the YaST and look at the services. Disable the NFS. That's my guess.

Unfortunately I only know how to do this graphically.

NFS shares mounted at boot time are in /etc/fstab, just like all the other filesystems. You can just comment out or remove the line containing the NFS shares in /etc/fstab. Since this file is on the client machine and you can't boot it, you'll need to use a boot disk to edit it... something like SystemRescue or a Gentoo install CD will work.
