Did anyone update to Gnome 2.8 in Suse 9.2 Pro?

I'd really like to update my Gnome 2.6 to 2.8 via Suse online update but have yet to be able to do that. I keep getting older software instead of the most current. For some of the stuff I managed to go get the source from elsewhere and compiled it myself instead of using Yast. For Gnome though, there's some many packages that I didn't want to go and update it manually. I wanted to know if anyone updated 2.6 to 2.8 using Yast. If so, could you give me the mirror to that server? Thanks!

Well, I do not think that SuSE Professional
is that suitable for online upgrades via the Web.
For such thing Debian would be the distro of choice.
However if you have installed apt then you may
use the SuSE APT server. I have upgraded
my KDE to 3.3 using apt and SuSE's apt server.

ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.2-i386/

However I could not find a 2.8 Version of GNOME for SuSE 9.2 there,
although Gnome 2.8 is available for SuSE 9.1

Consult also James Ogley's page.
