Thank you nuro305 for posting on the Nvidia boards. It would be nice if others would also post to encourage Nvidia to address this issue.

m1710 + mandriva 7

Ive got a m1710 7900gtx core2duo

Ive installed the ia64 version of the os and it runs just fine

But Ive tried several of the nvidia drivers, but none seems to work?
(no hw acceleration, so xgl cant be started, or all windows end up white)

Can someone that has made it work, please point me to the correct driver version?

kind regards

kurgan

I don't know how to tell what NVidia driver SLED 10 automatically installed for me.

Tell me where to find that out and I'll post it.

ok got it working with the amd driver !?!?!

but I still have 2 problems:

#1: often the mousebuttons 'lock-up' or go inactive for a long time, very annoying... If it was on windows, Id think I had been hit by my first virus..

#2: Ive tried AIGLX, then compiz coredumps, when I use XGL it starts, but all is white... (I can spin the cube and see top and bottom images
