Configuring Totem for Xine

I have installed the necessary package for the xine libraries in order to use this as the backend in lieu of gstreamer for Totem on open SUSE 10.2. When opening Totem, I do not see any sort of configuration option that will allow me to change the backend that Totem uses. Do I have to uninstall gstreamer in order to use xine with Totem first?
