Composite Manager Failure? What does this mean?
I am fairly new to Linux, so please be gentle. First of all , I am using SuSe 9.3 PRO with KDE 3.4. When my desktop loads I get two error messages. The first is "The Composite Manager crashed twice within a minute and is therefore disabled for this session." What is the Composite Manager and why would it crash? The second message is "Composite Manager Failure. Composite extension not found. You MUST use XORG greater than or equal to (> or = to) 6.8 for tranclucency and shadows to work. Additionally, you need to add a new section to your X config file: Section, 'Extensions', Option, 'Composite', 'Enable', End Section." I have not tried to configure anything that would require opacity/tranclucency. I was burning ISOs in K3B, when I finished my burns I shut down K3B and that was when the messages first appeared. Now upon every reboot the messages appear.
Please help! Thank in advance!
