checkgmail problem...

I am trying to start checkgmail-1.9.2 on my newly installed Novell Suse Enterprise Linux 10.0 on AMD athlon XP PC. I've installed all pre-required perl modules as stated on the website and the following is the error I've got when I started checkgmail from the terminal.
$ ./checkgmail
Updating translations file ...
... done!
Use of uninitialized value in subroutine entry at ./checkgmail line 1502.
Segmentation fault
I've disbaled the Novell App Armor and firewall that comes with the OS but still getting the same error and my kernel installed is:

Can anyone please suggest if they encountered the same problem and any measures to correct it.
