channels problem Creative Audigy 2 ZS Laptop SuSE 10.1

Hi there,

I just upgraded to SuSE 10.1 from 9.3 I am using an audigy 2 ZS pcmcia sound card and it was running fine before. Now that I have upgraded it seem that I have lost control over the Center and LFE channel. Alsamixer cannot modify the volume for those two. However when I modify volume from the Yast sound module I can easily modify those values and it works. I rebuit the latest alsa driver, libs, utils etc from source but that din't change it either. Any ideas what might be wrong with SuSE 10.1

Also I cannot find a decent documentation on how to set up a 7.1 playback and how can I redirect the output to specific channels. For exmaple having mplayer outputting on front and xmms outputting on rear and something else on the LFE/Center.

Thanks a lot
