Cannot enter CDROM

I just installed Suse Personal 9.1 and when I try to access the cdrom it gives me a message that it could not enter the folder... I previously had the same distro installed and this didn't happen... any ideas? Oh, and I am root when I do this.

Is the cdrom mounted? Are you attempting to access the right mountpoint? Can you access it in the shell?

I'm not quite sure about those things, I'm pretty new to linux. However, before I could just click on the cdrom icon on my desktop and it would work... What exactly should I try?

In a shell, type "mount" and see if the cdrom is listed. There could be a problem with the auto mounting of the cd.
