cannot compile


hi,

i just installed suse 9.1 and updated it. i.ve tried to run the command ./configure but to know luck. i says no c compile found in $path.

i've try to find gcc in yast but it's not there.

any suggestions

run updatedb as root, and then run locate gcc

That should get you the location of gcc

how do i run updatedb i tried the run command and in the console but it doesn't work

If you are using Suse 9.1 personal then there is no gcc compiler included. Do a search in the Suse forums and you'll find a solution to your problem.
