Cannot boot from harddisk

Hi,

I just installed SUSE 9.1 and installation went successfully on 12gb HDD

after installation it rebooted and giving error cannot boot from HARddisk

if i reboot with cd and select rescue option and i can login to root

but from here i dont know how to get desktop

This is the first time i installed SUSE

suggestions will be appreciated
