Can not login to YaST

Hello,
I am not able to login to YaST. It says incorrect password. If I try to do su from terminal window same problem is there. But if I do from virtual console, login as root, it is ok.
can you tell what to do to get back to normal.

Verify the keyboard layout.
Type the password in the user space to see if it's correct.

sudo and the password from the user.

Try to login as root in the terminal, then type: "passwd -d" this will make that your password be empty (just pressing the Enter key) and type: "passwd" to create a new password. You must write it and then you are asked to retype the same password.
