can a legacy nvidia driver be autoinstalled with yast?

Since I have a tnt2 model 64 video card and yast only installs the latest driver, can I download the driver and point the online update to the hard drive and install as if it was doing an online update? I want to avoid a manual install if possible.

You can go into YaST - Software - Change Source to add the location of the file on disk.

With a Suse compatible RPM then you can download it, find the folder in Konqueror or Nautilus and then right-click. You should see the option "Install software" on the pop-up menu.

However (takes deep breathe), the video drivers can't be installed if X is running, so you have to boot up in text mode and do it from there.
