I went into sax2 and took the x off the box for Activate 3D acceleration and then put it back in again then I clicked save now I have a message it says

Your modifications will take effect the next time the graphics system is restarted. Exit SaX2 now?

how do I restart the graphics system?

Logout and back in again or do CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE.

After installing software via YaST, /sbin/SUSEconfig will run to update config files. But that won't re-start the X server.

Time to gamble. Log out and log back in, or press ctrl+alt+backspace to restart the X server.

Does 3d work?
