c++ on suse 10.3

Hi,
I would like to try to learn some c++ programming on Suse 10.3. I assume that c++ is installed by default, as I remember installing all of the language packages, but I can't find where it is located. Can anyone tell me where I need to point Eclipse too? I have Eclipse set up for python, perl and ruby, but don't know how to set it up to work with c++.

thanks,
tim

The standard c++ compiler is part of the gcc package and is called g++. I would not assume that it is installed by default because it typically is not in most distros.

Thanks for the reply. Now that you mention gcc, I think I remember installing it to do a build of a package, not really understanding why I needed it. I'll check this out.

Thanks again,
Tim
