Somebody wrote a script specifically for SuSE 9.3 .. I run BOINC also. I would go to http://boinc.berkeley.edu then the downloads page but scroll down past the default Linux download. I think there is a whole section on BOINC addons.

I do it manually. I just start a console (inittab run level 3) and
Code:
 ./run_client
That works for me, YMMV

hth,

i also start it the same way but i start it in screen, then detach it
Code:
$screen
$./run_client
$ [ctrl+a , d]
$
that lets you close the terminal without affecting the client. you can even log all the way out and it wont be affected

Lightbulb Using KDE?

I don't know how to get the icon in the bottom of the screen, but I know how to make apps autolaunch when you log into KDE. :P

~/.kde/Autostart

and put anything there
like shortcuts/links or scripts

make sure they're executable.

Hi,
Can somebody tell me how to uninstall BOINC from the system?? I simply can not delete the BOINC folder. "Access denied" it says when I try to delete it.
