Bad Patch

Looks like a bad kenel patch from SuSE
Just updated my 9.2 and after tring to reboot it would not.
So fixed it and updated a second computer with the same results.

Fix is simple insert the #1 CD select intallation then ...
select repair installed system and fully automatic repair.

I've taken in every available 9.2 patch and never had this problem, and yours is the only post I've seen complaining about it. We'd have to assume that yours is an isolated incident.

I did try downloading and installing the patch on 2 machines before posting it here in case it was just a glitch on one machine.
I use my suse watcher to check for patches on 10 machines so I know that the patch was only available for a few hours or less before I downloaded it.

Linux supports so many hardware configurations that bad patch bound to happen from time to time and some for only certain hardware configurations, with SuSE I have found them to be rare. I had one back with 8.0 that stoped my modem from working and another with 9.0 that did not allow 2 of my machines that had a promise ata controller to work, but the patch was ok on other machines.

It must have been taken down right afterwards, I still see no kernel patch in YOU. Unfortunately it appears that by bad luck you got caught downloading that patch.

Some one has to. At least I had the experiance to fix it.
