Arrow ATI x300 on mobile dell inspiron 6000


Im kind of new to suse but have figured out how to get my wireless and all that going fine but i cant seem to get my 3d acceleration turned on, i tired to update the drivers but i dont know if they installed corretly because nothing has changed. Any advice woulid be great, thanks!

If the right driver is installed from suse online, then you can open up sax2 and click enable 3D and you should notice it. If the right driver isn't install, then you should install it by hand here:

i installed those drivers but no luck...any other ideas?

correction on the subject...i have a dell inspiron 6000.....not an insperior

init 3
cd /usr/src/linux
make cloneconfig
make prepare-all

then install the driver. Although I'm guessing here, since you are glossing over the details.

Go to the ATI website and download the *.run (driver). It works. I run SuSE
