ATI 3d not working / Sax2 crashing

edit: nevermind, I removed opensuse in a bout of petulant frustration.

edit2: if you find 3d accel not working and sax2 crashing when you try to configure the fglrx drivers from the ati repo or that you built yourself from the download at ati's website, try running the installer and letting it build the module itself rather than generating a package. That's what I did and it stopped sax2 crashing.
