Amarok, Juk on Suse 9.3

I have installed Suse 9.3 recently...unexpectedly i m facing a few minor probs with it. The new Amarok and Juk refuse to play any music files. I tried double clicking, hitting the play button on the files in the playlist but it just refuses to play them. I know there is no problem with my sound as Real Player plays them. I dont like Real player coz it just slows down terribly when playing music and the quality is not tht good. Also, Amarok tends to crash a lot when composing playlists out of folders. I havent experienced so many crashes in Suse 9.2. Maybe its just me who has this prob but plz help me out here. Thanx.

Have you downloaded the Mutimedia pack 1 from the YOU updates page?

If so - you can try updating the packages for amarok and juk at:-

http://www.novell.com/linux/download/linuks/

or install xmms (from your suse dvd) and use that instead for playing music files.

the YastOnlineUpdate (YOU) should be the 1st thing you should make with SuSE9.3 (because of the missing mp3 support)

Possibly the Links of my signature may help you
