A wireless cards that work with SuSE 9.2

Im looking for a wireless card, both pci, and pcmcia, that works out of the box with suse 9.2. I only see one working card on SuSE 9.2 on SuSE's hardware compatibility list. This doesn't make too much sense since, it says on the box improved wlan support. Im using SuSE Profession 9.2, and with the updated patches and so forth from its download center. Thanx in advance.

I don't know about "out of the box", but the linksys WMP54G works very well in SuSe9x using ndiswrapper to install the drivers that come on the CD. You can pretty much put in the card, install the drivers with ndiswrapper, modprobe ndiswrapper, then configure it with YaST and it'll work perfectly all the time. I've seen the same thing work with countless other wireless PCI cards, and I assume it works the same with usb or pcmcia (only configured slightly different with YaST).

I had problems with that card. I got it detected by driverloader, and ndiswrapper, and it can detect my wireless network, (NETGEAR) but it can't seem to find an access point. Or so it shows on KWifiManager. So thats out. Unless you have reason to believe that its the routers fault not the card. I have a Netgear wireless G router... I don't know the model number, I get that when Im at home. Thanx in advance.
