9.3 doesnt save sound settings after reboot

I have an audigy Ex platinum and suse 9.3, using ALSA I cant get my sound settings to stick in the mixer after a reboot or shutdown. not a huge deal but just interested to know if there is something simple I overlooked to make the mixer to save settings.

cheers.

after configure your sound with alsa,
run the command (probably as root)

alsactl store

then put the following line into your startup script
(I think it should be something like /etc/rc.local)

alsactl restore

hopefully that should do the trick

Thanks for your reply, there is no rc.local on my machine, but I found rc, thanks for your help :)
