9.3 boot-up error?

I recently swtiched over to SuSE 9.3 and installed it on my comp w/ dual boot XP. I did this over a week ago, and everything ran fine until this morning when i tried to start it up (as normal) and I got an error message that looks like this:

<0> Kernel Panic- not syncing: fatal exception in interrupt

when this is displayed, it is shown before log-on but without the green start-up screen. Instead, it's shown in the "details" format that can be accessible by pushing escape.

I also tried to start up in "safe mode", and basically got the same message with the following error message preceeding it:

[<c015c9a0>] real_lookup+0x9010xb0
Code: Bad EIP Value

Again, i've never had any problems with the dual boot or anything, havent goofed with the settings or anything like that. Anyone have any info on this???

thanks in advance,

the repair module actually failed to, so i had to re-install it all over again. I don't really know what happened, but i'm sure its because of the dual booting i do. I know that when I tried the repair module, it said that the reiser system was corrupt, so i think i somehow messed the HD up enough to make it not want to boot linux for me. I'll see if i can avoid that this time...thanks for the reply though.
