Im a bit confused on this. I currently have a GeForece FX5000 agp card. Im running Suse 9.1 Pro. I installed the drivers. with the directions on the nvidia site. I check in sax2 and it still using vesa frame buffer. I run tux racer and it moves fine. I do the glxinfo and i get

Error: unable to open display (null)
any advice? I have been trying to get it right for a couple days now. I still a newb
edit: when i restart the xsession i do get the brief nvidia spashscreen
