64 BIT SuSE 9.3 Pro & ATI Radeon Xpress Graphics Conflict
 

Hello, Friends,

I recently bought an AMD 64 939 PIN Computer System with MSI motherboard - Mo/Bo's model no is " RS480M@-IL " .

Motherboard has unboard intergrated Graphics Card by ATI.

Graphics Card is : " ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series ".

I also bought Licensed copy of SuSE Linux X86_64 BIT version DVD and installed on that AMD 64 System.

I became extremely dumbfounded ( Surprised ) when i found that SuSE 9.3 Pro x86_64 BIT linux did not find and install my ATI Graphics Card.

Let me tell you one more important thing that i have Philpis 17" TFT monitor which's highest resolution is 1280 X 1024 - 75 MhZ.
Though SuSE installs the Monitor successfully. But , because Intregrated Graphics Card is not installed properly so the maximum resolution of monitor remains 1024 x 768 with only 16 BIT colors.

SuSE by default installed " VESA FrameBuffer Graphics Card " which is configured with 1024 x 768 45 MhZ and with 16 BIT Colors.

The Problem is : Linux does not install any other Graphics Card except VESA. I tried to instal so many ATI cards from List. But when i click on "Test" in "SAX2" a Pop-up shows which displays that "Xwindow Server Fails to save the settings ".

How can i tolerate 1024 x 768 Resolution with only 16 BIT colors when i can have 1280 x 1024 resolution on 75 MhZ with 24 BIT colors.

Tell me Friends , what is the solution of this problem ?

I have visited on ATI's website and downloaded one Driver for my Graphics Card but it did not work even.

What is the benefit, by buying 64 BIT computer system and SuSE 9.3 Pro.

I don't want to loose Linux.

Since i am addict to it very badly.

In other words, just any body tell me which is the most appropriate driver for " ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series " Graphics Card for SuSE 9.3 Pro x86_64 BIT version in OS's own Driver Lists.

I will never ever forget the person for my whole life who will help me.
