10.2 Dual monitors different resolutions?

This problem is killing me! No matter what I set the resolution to my laptop monitor stays at 1024x768 and so does the external monitor!

My laptop is the Intel 915 with the i810 driver. I'd like to set the laptop to 1024x768 and the external monitor to 1280x1024.

I have "915resolution 58 1280 1024 32" in the /etc/sysconfig/videobios file.

Here is my xorg.conf:

Many thanks! XGL with different sizes would be even better if possible!

I'm not an expert but, I don't see a monitor section for the second monitor. You need one with the second monitors capabilities and modes for that screen. right now it's using the same definition for both monitors.

Sax2 X11/Xorg Options?

I was wondering if you figured out how to fix this yet. I have exactly the same problem...

By the way, does any one know what is the going on with this 'new' (?) Xorg options, referring to Sax2Dualhead etc.? Is this something that the x-server recognizes or only for Sax2 to keep track of things?

Thanks!

Never did! But i've since switched to Beryl and it has an option for dual cubes, might make it a bit easier but i have yet to test.
