I have some problems with ATi Linux drivers.. Try to describe it.. (sorry for my poor english)
Installed SuSE 9.2 and start it without restart computer (I think any who installs SuSE 9.2 know it). Download latest ATi Linux drivers (8.10.19) from SuSE ftp. Do all as described in README. Start XOrg. Works fine. Reboot. SuSE boots in graphics screen, I can see some messages from dmesg and when it tries to start XOrg... screen is just blank.. try to use Ctrl+Alt+Backspace.. no respond.. NumLock indicates that keyboard responded.. try to use Ctrl+Alt+Del.. HANG! @####$@!!! Reboot. The same problem... Boot in initlevel 3 (without start XOrg). Try to start XOrg with 'radeon' driver. Started fine. Tried to start XOrg with 'fglrx' driver. WORK!!! So now if I want to use 3D acceleration in XOrg I need start XOrg with 'radeon' driver first and then 'fglrx' driver works fine. (May be this helps to others who have identically troubles...)
So now I have ancient russian questions "Who is guilty?" and "What to do?".. ;-)
My hardware config: ASUS P5AD2 Premium MB | P4 3.2 GHz CPU | X800XT PCI-E
Please help me because I do not wat to go back Windows HELL....
