[Inquiry] File Assosiations - Konqueror vs Firefox

Ok, recently I ran into a problem opening files etc etc. I fixed all the file assosiations but had a question about one thing.

When I am browsing using Konqueror shouldn't it be smart enough to launch a link within it'self and not Firefox? Also, since Akregator uses konqueror is there anyway to make it custom, so that when akregator konquerer links are pressed they open in FF but if a normal link in Konqueror is clicked to open within itself?

Thanks.

The Control Center has a parameter for default aps for mail and browser. In addition some aps have their own parameter for browser that may require a bash script in the right directory to change. If you edit Kmenu you will notice control for which ap is the default for a particular file association.

Yes, I know how to configure the browser, but if you configure .html/.HTML files to open with FireFox, and you click on a link within Konqueror it will launch Firefox, is there anyway to make Konqueror know that if it is clicked within itself to open within itself?

I don't think there is a way because konqueror as a part of KDE shares a single set of file associations. The only other control I've found is right click and use Open With. KDE 3.5 has a much updated konqueror but I haven't tried it yet. Perhaps there something there for you.
