Well, I have been working in linux more recently and came across a couple of problems. One of them occurred last night, when for the first time, I was notified of updates being available. When I tried to update, I got an error "Dependency Resolution Failed." So I read some threads and decided to try a solution posted that said I need to add some package repositories to YaSt in Installation Source, which I did. It did not help and I still received errors.
I decided to go to bed and sleep on it. When I got up this morning, I loaded opensuse 10.2 with plans to continue. This time, I am not notified by the 80 something updates available. When I tried to click on update manager (the globe in the system tray) I get an error which states:
Refresh Failed: Failed to parse XML metadata: Can't add repository at
http://software.opensuse.org/downloa...penSUSE_10.2/: Unknown source type for
http://software.opensuse.org/downloa...openSUSE_10.2/
I tried
apt-get update, which I thought worked, but it did not get the updates apparently...
Any suggestions would be great!

p.s. I went into YaSt and into Installation Source and deleted the reference to the above site that gave me the error and I got another error similar to the one above with this:
Refresh Failed: Failed to parse XML metadata: Unsigned file '/repodata/repomd.xml (http://jarpack.com//suse/10.2/RPMS/)'
I looked for a reference to that in Yast Installation Source and did not see one...
Thanks Again!
