I'm inching ever closer to the end of my tether
I'll spare you all the backstory but basically I tried installing XP, Vista & SuSE onto a RAID 0 array running off a Silicon Image 3114 controller - SuSE didn't like it (fakeRAID), neither did Vista or some other applications so I ditched it, assuming that a straight-up install onto a SATA drive would go flawlessly.
Motherboard: ASUS K8N4E-Deluxe
Drive(s): 2x 250GB Samsung Spinpoint P120s
Controller: nVidia 4-4X
RAID features: Disabled
XP and Vista have installed flawlessly onto the drives, seeing them without even having to provide drivers at the F6 prompt as I had to with RAID.
However SuSE installer says it cannot find any drives. I'm a complete novice at this, but poking around in the installer doesn't yield any answers.
As far as the installer is concerned, I have no drives hooked up to the system.
I'm attempting to boot this alongside XP and Vista so that I can learn more about it, but right now I'm just getting more and more frustrated!
Googling has turned up nothing of use
