Question Remapping Mouse Buttons

Hello,

I have two very similar mice, one at one office, and the other in another office. Unfortunately the buttons have mapped slightly differently. So on one mouse right brings up the menu, and the middle is past. On the other, the middle brings up the menu and right is back in a web browser. As you can imagine its confusing.

I tried to remap the buttons in my xorg.conf file but I think the config is ignored as hot-plug is on. I looked in the KDE system config but there isn't a way to change what the buttons do.

Anyone know what I should do to map them the same? System is 13.1, KDE 4.11.5.

Cheers,
Phil

Have you tried something like: Mapping Mouse Buttons to Keyboard Actions? Or am I a little off?

Can that change the 'ordinary' keys? Or just map special combinations to no standard buttons? I guess I should try it.

I installed xinput and used this to remap the mouse buttons. Works well.
