plz shutdown


will
linux suse10.2 never shutdown or restart
just kill the desktop

What? Can you shut it down or this just an opinion?

in kde
I cant shutdown the computer (the computer didnt shutdown )

but in gnom the computer shutdown smoothly and fast

What happens when you go to shut down the PC in KDE? Can you walk us through what you do and what happens?

first yhe desktop disappear . then black screen with black work
you know like boot screen
then . no thing happen just black screen and pc remain work

When this happens, try hitting ctrl+alt+F1 together and see if there are any messages.

i too face the same problem!
one of my frd told , it may the problem with intel! i donno abt it!
it is neither restarting nor shutdown nor ctl+alt+backspace is working!!
plz help me ..how to shut down

ok my pc shutdown now
all I do went to gnom then kde and it is ok now
