Memory sticks, upgrades and SuSE 9x... quick advice?

I don't want to waste anybody's time with my quick question, so let's get to it:

My SuSE 9.1 Personal doesn't work with my USB memory stick. I know this is a SuSE 9.1 problem, but is it a SuSE problem?

I'm getting a new computer soon, and if the memory stick will work in SuSE 9.2, I'll download that. Otherwise it's going to be something else.

Anybody know anything?

Yes, SuSE 9.2 handles it pretty good. But, there is a thread in this forum about auto-umount, that it does not do it automaticaly, but i am not sure this happens to everyone. Mine works fine.

Yes, I too had problems with USB in 9.1.
But, so far I haven't had any mishaps in 9.2. They (SUSE) seem to have cracked it.
I use USB devices a lot.

Alright, SuSE it probably is, then.

It was either that or Yoper, and I'm already used to SuSE...
