How to connect FC SAN disk to SLES 11 sp3 installed on Hyper-v
Hello. Can someone help me please, or give the link on manual.
I have virtual machine with fresh installation of Sles 11 sp3 on Hyper-V server 2012 R2.
Now I need to mount disk, that I created on HP 3PAR SAN connected by Fibre Channel.
I tried to find some information but with no success. Everything that i could find is that I need to install Emulex and QLogic drivers, but i can't understand why I must do it, because there is windows virtual fibre switch, to which virtual machine is connected.
Question is how can I connect Sles and HP San?

You install either the Emulex or Qlogic drivers, because your HBA is probably one of them. You don't SAY which HBA you have, but you install the drivers for whatever card you have FIRST...if you don't, how do you expect the system to know there are drives attached, when the hardware isn't working yet???
And since you're using an HP SAN with SLES...you are paying for support from both parties. Have you contacted HP or SuSE support???? They should be able to help you easily.

Hello. Thank you for answer.
As I previously told, this is virtual server and there is virtual hba. On HP installed Qlogic adapter. I can see that virtual machine with windows server detects virtual hba as Microsoft Hyper-V Fibre Channel HBA

...which tells you that you need to install the Qlogic drivers, as you mentioned in your first post. It does not matter if this is a virtual server or not; either you load the drivers for the hardware, or the hardware won't work. So, go get the Qlogic drivers, and install them, then reboot, and you should be able to configure things.
And ask asked, why don't you contact SuSE or HP support?? You're paying for support from both parties, since you're in a commercial environment.
