fsck failed. how to repair manually & reboot.

Hi! Guys,

I have this error msg below from SUSE Linux 10.1 after I relocate my desktop to other places.

Here is the error msg:
fsck failed. Please repair manually and reboot. The root file system is currently mounted read-only. To remount it read-write do:

bash# mount -n -o remount,rw /

Attention: Only CONTROL-D will reboot the system in this maintanance mode. shutdown or reboot will not work.

FYI, I have tried the above msg but it won't work. How should I solve it? Please give some advice. Thank you!!!!

You remembered to leave off the "bash# " part? (Just checking...)

OpenSUSE.org is very helpful these days:

You didn't read the web site dude: what is the point of me pointing you to the solution to your problem if you don't at least look at it?

<grumble>
