Question first line on disp during boot "doing fast boot", then "FATAL: mbcache not found"

After the above error the boot process continues. Something is not getting loaded right at first but the display scrolls by so fast I can't read it. Could this have to do with me swapping the MB CMOS battery the other day? The system boots ok but most of the time I have to reset my sound card volume controls again. Seems like something named mbcache would be somewhat important to the system. How to fix??

thanks I'll try elsewhere

Thanks for your time. Then article you suggested was good. So long I almost forgot my question. Problem still exists so I need to go and figure out how to ask about mbcache and fastboot.

No Kidding. Thank you.
