Yast does not distribute a demuxer for Xine, however you can try getting it at: http://xinehq.de/index.php/releases

What type of file are you trying to play? Try shoucast.com for streaming audio, playable through xmms with the xmms-mp3 plugin.

i just read the faq "how to..." - i must admit this is far too advanced for meg. but internet radio is not important either so i'll just remember this until i am better known to linux.

Hi,

Have you tied the Firefox Web Browser? You'll find that the plug-ins allow you to get a whole host of media types directly from your browser. I just jumped over to radiotower.com and played away.

it opens the "plugin finder service" and says "no suitable plugins found". firefox is all new, the radiostation i tried is the first one on top (46 year old) in "classical".

That station worked just fine for me. Using Firefox 0.9.3 installed through YaST on SuSE 9.1 Pro.
