auto mount samba file system

hello:

I am running suse10 . I have windows machines on my network.
I want to mount the shared windows directories during the boot process.
I found there was fikle called /etc/samba/smbfs. I edited that file and added my windows directories mounst in there. However when I rebooted they wer not mounted automaticlaly. I still had to do it manually.

what is the mehtod I shoudl use to make this mounting automatic?

thanx

/etc/samba/smb.conf is a configuration file used by the samba server for Linux, but has nothing to do with mounting a samba server from Linux. To create an automount for Linux, either add an entry to /etc/fstab (EX: //<server>/<share> /mnt/<mountpoint> smb user, auto,rw,<other mount options>), or use autofs4 scripts to create an on-demand automount entry.
