Alsa-lib on SuSE 9.1 prof


Always asking about Linux....sorry guys

now I want to update my alsa-lib on my SuSE to the newest Alsa-lib 1.0.8.....
but how????

I try by my self but seems like doesnt make any differrent

so please teach me how to update alsa-lib (I have downloaded alsa-lib 1.0.8)

Have you tried YaST?

If there is an upgrade available, it will show up in blue on the listing (you can search for it by partial name). Click the check box and it will turn to the upgrade symbol. Click next and follow the yellow brick road...

Add the server packman.iu-bremen.de to your Yast installation sources (directory: suse/9.1) and install alsa via Yast. Easy, isn't it
