when i removed the kdebase3-suse package all my settings were reset, and it also seemed likeyast was working slower, what is actually in the package??

working :cursor themes

by removing the kdebase-suse package the cursor themes work again.......by re-installing kdebase-suse,the suse customizations return + the cursor themes work again.
the package also includes suse wallpapers,so this may also fix the login screen wallpaper issue .

Issues with OpenOffice,

when I try to open a document with open office using File--> open, the file dialg crashes and I am unable to see the files to be opened, moreover, when I right-click on the file and pick actions-->open with e.g. spreadsheet, it tells me that the file is password protected.
