After upgrading to KDE 3.4...

when i removed the kdebase3-suse package all my settings were reset, and it also seemed likeyast was working slower, what is actually in the package??

Many configuration files are contained here!

by removing the kdebase-suse package the cursor themes work again.......by re-installing kdebase-suse,the suse customizations return + the cursor themes work again.
the package also includes suse wallpapers,so this may also fix the login screen wallpaper issue

Issues with OpenOffice,

when I try to open a document with open office using File--> open, the file dialg crashes and I am unable to see the files to be opened, moreover, when I right-click on the file and pick actions-->open with e.g. spreadsheet, it tells me that the file is password protected.
