add a program directly from the menu to the desktop not as a widget

HI

I have opensuse 11.4 with KDE.
Howto add a program launcher directly from the menu to the KDE desktop just as a normal icon and not as a widget icon?

I can't say for sure about opensuse, but in many distros: just drag it out there from the menu using the left mouse button.

Yep that works and I get a widget icon on the screen, but this is not what I want.
